The Statues

"Mommy! Mommy!" 

"Yes sweetheart, what is it?"

"What are those statues?" 

"I don't know honey, but we have to go."

My mom grabbed my hand and tried dragging me forward, but I didn't move, my small blue eyes glued to the statues.

 An elegant man was sitting down cross legged talking to two other men. I was so  confused, when my mom interrupted, "Honey, we have to go!" but I didn't have an answer for her. 

"Bye, I'm leaving then,"  she spoke in a very irritated voice. 

"Ok, ok, I'm coming." I smirked and started to catch up. 

Until ths day, I still wonder what those statues are, but I know I will find out.

The Super Show

"I'm your host Jennifer, and today you are watching The Super Show!"

"To start us off, our next marvelous winner is..... Michele! Come on up Michele!"

"When I was little, I used to put on a blanket and imagine that I could fly," As she kept talking, two guys brought out mechanical wings, they put it on her and she started rising a few feet above the ground.  

"Thank you for letting my dream come true!" She squeaked fluttering away like a butterfly.

"I guess that is it for today folks, and always keep in mind, each one of you is a superhero, even if you are a normal person."
